About Us

Asicha Seminars provides substantive opportunities for women to grow in their
Avodas Hashem through active engagement in communities of
Torah learning and meaningful programming.

Our vision for Asicha is to provide a continuing forum for serious, in-depth Torah study for women one to five or even many more years post-seminary.

Our MISSION

בְּפִקֻּדֶיךָ אָשִׂיחָה וְאַבִּיטָה אֹרְחֹתֶיךָ
I speak of Your laws and I look at Your paths
(Tehillim 119:15)

With these words, Dovid HaMelech stresses not simply hearing divrei Torah, but active, involved discussion and analysis of the halacha. Asicha Seminars was founded in the Summer of 2020 with this charge in mind; striving to provide a forum for active learning.

What began as a request for a halacha shiur from a handful of women quickly grew to an online seminary servicing hundreds of women each semester. Our ten-week semesters feature in-depth shiurim on a variety of topics, creating an environment of commitment, excitement, growth, and learning. Unique learning events surrounding special occasions also add to the Asicha experience.

Our mission is to encourage and facilitate active, engaged talmud torah for women, through our shiurim and programming. The maggidei shiur display sources on the screen, explained and enlightened by a profound analysis. This facilitates a deeper, more nuanced understanding of the topic at hand.

From its inception, Asicha has been generously sponsored by Elisha and Daniella Graff, in honor of their mothers, Dr. Nadja Graff and Mrs. Evelyn Weinstein, and their daughters Zahava, Sabrina, Michal and Tamara (some of whom are weekly participants!).

Consider joining our program and keep the seminary experience alive!
